Join The Creativity Caravan and Ruthie’s BBQ on Thursday, February 28 for an evening of hilarity and humanity. Semi-Important Stuff will have you digging into those dusty cardboard boxes and the corners of your memory to unleash the comical and crushing tales from your past. We’re talking diary entries, love-stricken poetry, fan letters, angsty stories, home movies, mix tapes, and more.
Semi-Important Stuff features a collection of short readings and retellings (5 minutes or less), about the less-than-glorious survival of first crushes and kisses, first tastes of booze or puff of a cigarette, break-ups and make-ups, prom dates, fights with Mom and Dad, secret summer camp escapades, and all the bests and worsts that made us who we are.
Witness your friends and neighbors as they recount their personal histories - from the embarrassing to the enlightening and everything in between - and delight in the gut-bustingly painful reminder of our shared humanity.
Cost: $5 (pay at the door)
Appropriate for ages 13 & up. (We cannot promise an entirely PG-rated event, so use your discretion when inviting young friends and family members.)
