We're thrilled to team up with the Modern Maker to offer a garment sewing series this fall. Capitalizing on the growing interest in both handcrafted clothing and the capsule wardrobe phenomena, The Modern Maker series offers both beginner and intermediate participants the opportunity to create a custom wardrobe.
This month we'll be sewing a tunic. The Friday evening session is for questions, assessing fabric choices, and cutting our patterns. On Sunday morning we'll spend a few hours sewing and completing our skirt designs and leave with a finished product!
(Other garments made in the series will be leggings (Jan), t-shirt (Feb), shirt/shirtdress (March), quilted jacket (April), and custom-fit jeans (May).
Modern Maker Paige Sato maintains, “No matter the skill level at the start, each student will come away with a great sewing foundation and will be able to replicate and customize their pieces in the future.”
