Our monthly sewing series with The Modern Maker (Paige Sato) capitalizes on the growing interest in both handcrafted clothing and the capsule wardrobe phenomena, The Modern Maker series offers both beginner and intermediate participants the opportunity to create a custom wardrobe.
This month we'll be sewing our own shirtdresses (or shirts). The Thursday evening session is for questions, assessing fabric choices, and cutting our patterns. On Sunday morning we'll spend a few hours sewing and completing our designs and leave with a finished product!
(Other garments made in the series will be a quilted jacket (April), and custom-fit jeans (May).
Modern Maker Paige Sato maintains, “No matter the skill level at the start, each student will come away with a great sewing foundation and will be able to replicate and customize their pieces in the future.”
