Resident North Jersey cheese expert Mary Connolly (Marie Fromage) returns to our studio to share her expertise - and cheese! - in this BYOB tasting event.
European cheese traditions date back thousands of years (and France alone has at least 1300 cheeses). Where do you begin? Let Mary guide you on a decadent, cheese-themed tour of Europe! You will sample cheese treats from France, Italy, Switzerland and other European regions, sourced from specialty cheese shops in New York City as well as finds from right in your own backyard. You will also gain knowledge of basic cheese categories, food pairing suggestions, how to put together an impressive cheese board, as well as how to shop for artisanal cheese and proper cheese storage.
THIS EVENT IS BYOB: bring your favorite beverage. Water will be provided, but Mary also recommends beer, prosecco, dry white wine or a low tannin red.
