Save the date! Have you been looking for a retreat that combines moving your body with moving your mind? Perhaps a gentle cycling adventure that includes daily creative writing and art-making time, with a gorgeous setting as your inspiration?
If so, then you'll want to mark your calendar for June 7 - 12, 2015 when we'll be facilitating our debut Spoke & Word Getaway in the beautiful Pittsfield, Vermont. In the mornings, we'll head out on an easy bicycle ride (bike rental included), stopping for lunch in one of the quaint Vermont villages on our route. Later in the afternoon, we'll return to the gorgeous Amee Farm Lodge (our home-away-from-home) for creative writing and art making back. There will be plenty of stops for rest, rejuvenation, and photo ops, and we'll enjoy delicious locally grown foods throughout our stay, including a nightly catered dinner back at the lodge. This experience will provide you with a taste of last summer's creative adventure, Type Rider II, as we collaborate with you to literally set your words (and art) in motion! Spaces are limited to 15 participants only, so if you know you want to be a part of this exciting early summer retreat, you can save your spot for just $100! Simply email us and we'll send you an invoice for the reservation deposit. A full schedule and cost details is coming soon!
But first, coming in January 2015, a new session of Choose Your Next Adventure - our 4-week online class that invites you to practice taking leaps, whether it's developing or changing a routine, pursuing a new passion, or shifting your behavior or attitude about making change in your life. Through writing prompts, action-oriented creative challenges, and clear and concise discussions, we will lead you through the process of setting intentions, designing a personalized "field guide for adventure," and taking the steps necessary to enact and manifest your ideas. Join us from January 5-February 1, 2015 and renew your taste for adventure!
Or, if you prefer something a little closer to home, we're offering another session of Writing the Collective: Transcending Creative Solitude. During this live online writing workshop (conducted through Oovoo, an easy-to-use video platform), we will focus discovering new ways to find, develop, and deepen our stories. You will find yourself inspired to flex your creative voice and re-vision long-held narratives with more care, affection, and forgiveness. This class is a great way to begin or continue a writing practice and explore in a safe, comfortable and productive space.
Three ways to join us in 2015 (so far! We'll be adding more to the list very soon). We can't wait to spend time with you!
